Sand whisperers in Torquay

Sand Whisperers creating amazing artworks on Torquay’s beaches

The murals typically take two hours to create.
One of the Sand Whisperers' favourite murals.

STELLA Tassone and Ondrei Aiello refer to their vast murals in the sands of Torquay as “love letters”.
The couple — aka the Sand Whisperers — have been taking to the sands of Torquay’s beaches, armed only with rakes, and scratching giant patterned artworks into the sand canvas.

The childhood friends, who describe themselves as “twin flames”, first began making artworks in the sand about five years ago after “reconnecting”.
“After we kind of reconnected ourselves, we started hearing a different language, and we heard nature speak to us,” Ondrei said.
“The only way we could express ourselves and return the language was through our love for one another and the love we have for nature … and this was our way of communicating back.
“You’ve got your shoes off and you’re putting your feet embedded into Mother Earth, and you feel the heartbeat of the earth when you’re actually doing it.

“It’s a way of expressing our love.
“We call them love letters”
The artworks, which have been up to 100 metres long, typically take the pair about two hours, Stella said.
“It’s a form of meditation and it’s a form of art therapy,” Stella said.

I don't think so, its a different style, owls and whales and whale tails and regularly on Torquay beaches since 2015. The Sandwhisperers have made similar sacred geometry artwork to breatheablueocean's in 2015. There must be two beachartists in Torquay. check out @breatheablueocean on Instagram.

Sand Whisperers have been doing sand formations since 2012 on the beaches of Torquay. Check out their Facebook page and Instagram page.

Yes, you are correct "Anonymous" Sand Whisperers have been doing sand "formations" since 2012, I was not so sure if they had been doing large spirals and sacred geometry since 2012? The Facebook and Instagram shows the dates as 2017 and @breatheablueocean's show three years ago, but does it matter?

So I don't know. I do like the sand heart formations, like sand castles from the Sand Whisperers did since 2012 - the love heart is so cute. I like the spirals and geometry they posted in Facebook in 2017, its so geometrical. I like the spiral art of @breathablueocean posted in 2015. Do the dates matter?

Have you seen the OWL and the ELEPHANT and the WHALE TAILS, aren't they lovely, maybe someone should show those in The SurfCoastTimes and the News.

I think I have seen the Sand Whisperers advertise their name "SAND WHISPERERS" next to their sand formations in 2017 and then they invite people to "Like" them on Facebook and Instagram. I think it is for their business doing sand formations.

I love seeing @breatheablueoceans art at sunrise on Fisherman's and Front Beach, so beautiful.

I like seeing the Sand Whiaperers in the afternoons at JanJuc.

There are definitely two sand artists in Torquay, I guess the only way to know the difference is to have a look at both Instagram accounts to see who did what lol :)

Good luck to them both :)
