Geelong Botanical Gardens ferns

Yesterday was a fine day so I went exploring in the fern gullies of the Geelong Botanical Garden, took some photos and also made some sketches. Back at home I fiddled with them with crayon, chalk and pens and here are the three. The size was A3. Actually the location was much darker than I have made them with plenty of shadows and trees in the background but I got tired!

Hello Penny, long time since we talked. I don't post much on Geelong Visual Diary these days, the traffic is rather small, but I put things on facebook and link up there with many relatives and friends. I still do drawings each week but they are hurried and I'm lazy about painting. But we do enjoy the picnics and exploring the Geelong region.
