Those South Pacific souveniers

from w
Tourists to Fiji often pick up junk items as they are enticed into shops or market stalls. One was upset the other day after paying $150 for a trashy item from a store after being bullied into the shop. When she went to return the item later the store-keeper was very angry so the tourist reported the incident to the police. Anyway, it's the wooden sword sellers that are most annoying, carving an overheard name so quickly and then demanding a sale. Here though a touristy 'sword' and a mask were attached to a pole at a friend's barbecue shelter, and it has become tripled into my picture. I took some photos yesterday at a barbecue, one of the pole. (See Babasiga blog for details.)
