A guitar and a ukelele

from w
Last night we thought it might be a good idea to go and see 'Bran Nu Dae' but then got lazy. Fortunately this was a good decision as five visitors arrived suddenly, a Fijian family staying in Melbourne, all laughing and joking after a swim at our Eastern Beach. So the kava bowl was brought out and the kava mixed, I took out two pizzas from the freezer, Peceli phoned friends and then five more people arrived, including Seone with his ukelele. The three youngest went off to the movies to see 'Avatar' a three hour movie, and the rest of us sang old Fijian and Tongan songs - Junior playing the guitar and Seone playing the ukelele. Though Kesa, who is Tongan, has a most beautiful voice, she didn't sing much as most of the songs were in Fijian which her husband can sing. It was a fun night. We had had fifteen the night before for kava and dinner so today is rather quiet by comparison.

Hi guys,Just wondering if you can help me, I have a Fijian friend coming from Qld to visit me in Geelong next weekend. I want to buy some Kava for when he arrives. Do you know where I can get it from? Thanks, Craig

Hello Craig,
Ask your friend to to bring some kava perhaps. It is just too expensive to buy in Melbourne - in Fiji about $30 but here $120! Some Tongan friends in Geelong sell it sometimes.
