Boring drawings

from w
Sometimes you feel good about drawing, other times you are just mucking about, drawing dull looking lines as you wait for someone to up their mobile account while you sit in the car near a boring wall, near a boring car or you draw a boring building site. This week was a mixture of tasks - cleaning up an office, going to a book launch in a renovated library - not my book!, the induction of a hospital chaplain where I walked up five lots of stairs because I got the shakes about going in a lift. I've taken on a three-hour office job now, mainly on a computer. And I went to a funeral in Melbourne after a panic about the starter motor not functioning on the car. They fixed it in two hours to enable us to go and it was freeway almost all the way so that was a plus. Meeting with cousins and folk I hadn't seen for many years was also a plus. However I'm tired this week.

They dont look boring at all but I do know what you mean. How will you ever fit in a 3 hour office job as well as all you do! Just put the odd sketch up. sorry i havent commented much but the 3G has been playing up and we drop out more than we drop in.

Hello Penny. Oh, I don't work hard at all but occasionally things happen and it's like a rat race. Today is very quiet - Peceli is at golf and Junior is at work - watering (recycled) a million seedings at a plant farm. So it's a morning of reading the papers.

the last time i saw my cousins was at my aunt's funeral. they had all changed so much. and the sad thing is that we really didn't sit down and chat or try to get to know each other again.

it's nice that you take your drawing book w/ you everywhere. i should look at doing that when naief gets older... maybe it would help me to get inspired again. i still have a painting i started when i was pregnant and haven't finished it.. but finding the time nowadays is almost impossible. :)

Um Naief,
Hello, busy mum. Yeah, take a sketchbook with you and you will find five or ten minutes somewhere to draw. The baby can't run away!
About relatives - in our grandparents time the extended family even lived together, older spinster sisters, an elderly parent. These days people are so scattered all over the globe, that's part of the trouble.
