While waiting for a bus in Normanby Street

Yesterday I had five minutes before the bus was due so I sketched the perspective and shadows of the palm trees in Normanby Street. I was still drawing with a pencil when the bus turned up and I had to run! I later added watercolour, more pencil and even salt!

Great composition and lovely colours - good that you snatched the moment.
I agree with Alison. The blend of colors really provides a neat effect.
Thanks for the compliments. I take an A4 sketchbook in my shoulder-bag wherever I go so that I really can snatch a few spare moments.
I was in that spot yesterday but it was so different because the cloudy sky took away all the shadows - it was not as interesting.
